Ty Causey

After lacing tracks on smooth jazz saxophonist, Najee's, Morning Tenderness CD and joining him as featured vocalist on his world tour of the same name, Causey began crafting songs for what ultimately became his aptly titled debut, N-TYSING featuring the fine work of Najee and bassist, Nelson Braxton of the standout jazz duo, Braxton Brothers. The result unveiled an artist that harkens back to the storied crooners of the past, but with a present day sheen that boasts a collage of R&B, jazz and sensual soul. This recording marked the overdue emergence of a vocalist primed for addition to a list of the industry’s best and garnered much acclaim from fans and critics worldwide.

With availability abruptly cut short and the recent success of Causey’s latest CD, LOVE NOTES, the requests for his stunning debut have grown high. The wait is now over with the re-release of the aptly titled, N-TYSING REKINDLED featuring all of the original material plus two new bonus tracks!

As before, Causey's warm tone, expansive range and superb delivery together with an obvious songwriting prowess that brackets the worlds of love and romance, is a joy to discover for those new to his sound but serves as solid confirmation for established fans. And discover you most certainly will as he lays down poetic prose with charm and swaying sincerity on embraced favorites throughout - down-tempo gems like "Reminisce in the Moonlight", the splendid lyrical take on George Duke's "Until Sunrise" or "Your Love's A Mystery" featuring Najee - and those with a cool, infectious groove such as "Keep it Smooth", "Lifetime Friend" and "Everything About Cha." But also new for all is Ty’s fantastic cover of the Sting hit, “It Probably Me” certain to be another favorite and adds to an already strong collection.
